Many of the commercially available kayak carts can't be towed behind anything. My Rolleez (retail $100) and some others only have composite wheel bearings which would burn up at anything faster than walking speed. If you build something that has ball or roller bearings you will have to make sure that the bearings are sealed against water and sand penetration.
