I don't know about the Guillemot Expedition model. However, I just finished the Guillemot L model and it has plenty of room for me (6'1", 225). A friend of mine who is 6'5" also paddled it and had no trouble getting in or out. When I built this boat, I extended the cockpit front and back by about an inch. The spray skirt still fits fine. I haven't taken it camping yet, but there seems to be plenty of room.
According to the specs, the "L" has a few more pounds design displacement. It's a foot shorter and 2 inches wider, but has basically the same lines.

: I am interested in the Guillemot Expedition Single (GES), however I am a
: larger paddler 5' 11" 228 lbs.
: Curently own a sit-on-top "Tarpon" Wilderness System Kayak.
: Paddling
: every weekend in Southern Calif.Corona Del Mar - Laguna ...4-10 miles each
: day.
: * My size and shape are a factor in the size and shape of the Kayak...
: What is the demensions of the cockpit?
: * Is there anyone out there my size and paddling a GES
: * Do you know anyone in the Southen Calif. area that has built the
: GES, that I may talk to and possibly view in person ?
: Please advise.
: I will purchase a kit and have been looking at the Pygmy "Artic Tern
: HP" , but I like the looks of the GES best of all.
: No matter how beautifull it is, it will not do me any good if I do not
: fit the Kayak well.
