In Response To: Strip: HVLP sprayers (Rob P)

: Anyone had any experience with the inexpensive Campbell-Hausfeld sprayers. I
: looked at Home Despot this morning and saw one with a plastic canister for
: just over a hundred bucks. It seems like short money to spray varnish on
: the boats annually. Of course it only makes sense if spraying will give a
: better finish than brushing (which I can't seem to do all that well).

: How about with the other coatings we use - LPU? two part paints? Will these
: work well with the HVLP sprayer?

: Thanks for the advice . . .

Instead of spraying try a staining pad.It works very well. In Canada you can get them at Home Hardware.

Why not use rags and wipe on the finish?
