Dave,
The first Greenland paddle that I made was laminated in cedar and mahogany. I made a second paddle of clear WRC. The first paddle is two seasons old, and has weathered the use well. The newer paddle weighs 3/4lb less than what the first does. A result of the mahogany glue-up, I'm sure.
