: Here is a pic of the West River 162 which I built from plans starting in

: At the time I purchased the materials 4mm Okume was unavailable, so the boat
: is constructed of 3mm. The outside of the hull has a single layer of 6oz
: cloth and the inside of the cockpit also has a single layer of 6 oz. The
: remaining internal seams are taped with 9oz glass tape. The bulkheads are
: 3mm glassed and the deck is unglassed.

: All up weight is 18kg which I am pretty happy with.

: The epoxy used was a product sold in Australia under the name of "Bote
: Cote"

: All in all I am happy with the boat and am looking forward to starting
: construction of another (merganser) so that I can have company while
: paddling.
