I finally got smarter on the last boat and drilled holes in each of the forms so I could pull instead of push. That way, each form was moving into a larger space instead of a smaller on and there was less damage. Next time, I will attach a heavy wire to each form as well to make the pulling easier. I figure if I thread a sledge hammer head on the wire and then wrap the end of the wire around a six inch piece of pipe, I will have a sliding hammer which will pop the forms out quickly with minimal damage. Worth a try.
