Not really, I was just a high level bureaucratin my last career path.

Hey, if it is spruce, it's either white, red or black spruce. The 1955 USDA Wood Handbook says that it has a cubic foot weight of 28-29 pounds per cubic foot, is hard, tough and easily worked. Western Red Cedar is 24 pounds per cubic foot. Sounds like it's potentially worth cutting up to make some clear strips...
