Rob Macks is the magnet guru. Search the forum for "magnets" and Rob Macks. Personally my experience has been that internal bungies are the way to go. On my front hatch, I used 3/8 magnets and thought the pull was not sufficient. So I added the bungies later. Now the magnets keep the hatch from blowing away when the bungies are loose, but still easy to take off. The internal bungie method is way faster and easier than magnets and you still get the clean deck look.

You can put hatches in and leave the bulkheads out, just use float bags. The hatches make cleaning the inside easier, and if you haven't done the interior tape yet that is much easier too.

The hard part is taking the saw to the deck!!!!
