Reminds me of a line from an old Kristopherson song -- "ever since the first I had the worst I've had's been good". In other words, as long as the water isn't too hard, its a good time to paddle. For a variety of reason though, this year is pretty much limited to day trips. July is shot for me as well with haying. I should have some time in August and some weekends in the fall. Late September/early October is nice on the Kootenay when the Kokanee are running and the eagles are out in force and the bears are getting fat. I'm way overdue for a serious adventure but it will have to wait for another year or two. So many places -- so little time.
Gosh with another munchkin, you're going to need a couple of doubles. More boats -- everyone needs more boats.
