Nick designs some very responsive, highly maneuverable boats. This does not seem to fit the taste of some.
It will give you a lot of feedback in your stroke. If you strokes are straight and even, you'll go in a straight line. It will make you a better paddler.
Some folks have glued a long, low-profile strip to the keel to help tracking.
