might help on your next boat.
I hot glued, using only the smallest dots half of the seam tape to the hull, leaving half sticking over the rim.
Then install the deck watching out to keep all the tape inside.
Then use a brush on a stick and soak in epoxi each side.
This is not my invention. Somebody here had this idea before, but it works.
