I used the white general purpose glue and didn't rough up the epoxy surface at all. I started at the ends, where there was no warping, putting a wedge every foot or so (I didn't measure - just eyeballed it)and worked towards the centre. I think if I had started at the centre the wedges would probably have popped. Starting at the ends moves the hull and deck closer together incrementally so that the stresses are divided between all the wedges. I was both surprised and pleased that it worked so well.
