: Was just trolling the archives, and saw a message from Jim Kozel regarding
: using a fanny pack as the basis for a backband. Sounds like a heck of an
: idea.
: Question: Has time on the water been kind to this idea?
I have been wondering how those of you that have tried this idea have liked it? I decommissioned my faithful ( but old ) backpack last night and the hip belt sure looks like it would work nicely on the kayak that I am restoring to life. There are straps that can retain the belt from climbing to high, and some tabs that can hold it static so it will stay high enough. It wouldn't have the pockets for storage, but the price is right...
Any thoughts ?
