A glued-lap tandem, huh? Cool. I plan to do a glued-lap rowing skiff eventually. Double-ended, and setup for either solo rowing (in one direction, or pairs rowing (in the other direction). Already have the forms plotted up, on paper.

The Reliance does seem like a hull shape that would be well suited to a glued-lap construction. More so than the guillemot, anyway, with its soft sheer. Have you posted this question to the Bear Mountain forum as well? You might get some feedback on Reliance stability from there.
