Hey KT,
Thanks for responding. I think the flatness (rocker) you speak of, probably has more to do with the turning ability of the kayak vs. stability. I think that the hull shape and maximum beam probably affects stability more than rocker. The real question was, "Would increasing the forms by a percentage, say 110%-120%, of the Great Auk Double, overcome the hulls shape instability as compared to the Guillemot Double's shape. I may be wrong, but I would have assumed that the Guillemot Double's stability is a result of (1) The 4" difference in beam and (2) The more rounded hull shape (especially in secondary stability)?
With that said, I am hesitant to just blindly scale up all the forms without consulting the bulletin board.
Opinions?
