Hi Patsy. Everyone has mentioned squeegeeing so far and I would agree. I have been experimenting with rolling-on a coat of epoxy and then laying the fiberglass fabric into the wet epoxy. The fabric tends to suck down onto the surface as it absorbs the underlying epoxy. I have to go back and touch up the dry spots with a roller but the epoxy does not pool under the fabric at all. I layed up the big coaming rim of my double-paddle canoe that way last night. I checked on it this morning and it looks perfect, no shiny pools, no dry spots just the uniform matte pattern of the fabric. I didn't have to use a squeegee. I can see how it might be a PITA on a really big area but I'm going to try to do all my layups this way from now on. I hope this helps. See you in Pt. Townsend
