Hi Vincent, I'm in Brisbane and yet to start on my Storm. I need to finish some cockpit rebuilds on my 7.8 m strip planked trailable yacht first.

In building that, I shopped around the speciallist bulk timber merchants for the best price on Western Red Cedar, cos I needed about on and a half cubic metres if I remember correctly. Cant now remember who I chose in the end.
The Silver Ash veneered marine ply was a special order that I had made by one of the ply manufacturers in Queensland, even though at the time I was living in Melbourne.

The epoxy is West System, bought from the melbourne dealer for ATL Composites, the Australian distributor

Fibreglass was bought from a Sydney based organisation recommended by the New Zealand designer of the boat, Duthie Lidguard, who was living in Sydney at the time.

I'm not being too helpful here am I. I will have to look up my records.

Meantime, for the Storm, I have bought epoxy from ATL composites on the Gold Coast, and also some fibreglass - althought that is six ounce (220gm/sq m) which I intend to use on the yacht. For the glass for the Storm, I intend to use 4 ounce, which I still have to research.

For the WRC I alreadyhave some, and also some Australian Red Cedar, (Toona Australis). But I have found a reclaimed timber mill up here that has some long lengths of beautiful straight dry 40 year old WRC that came out of one of the early motels on the goldcoast. I also plan to use either some reclaimed hoop pine, also straight dry and old, or some king billy or celery top pine as a light coloured timber trim. The alternative is silver quandong, which is available in straight lengths from yet another timber reclaimer. Haven't yet purchased this yet.

Let me know where you are, and maybe I can help a bit more specifically.
