Sorry but I have to agree with Eric on this one. I personally see nothing wrong with his representation on his web site. It would be totally unpractical to prebuild all the different yaks he is trying to sell, not to mention all the various wood patterns, just to take a picture of it for a web site. All the possibilities that could be made would be endless. I would take it as, giving the buyer some design ideas that they might enjoy for "their custom yak" I think most people forking out $4000 to $6000 for a kayak are going to want to see "the real thing" to examine his companies workmanship before parting with that much money anyway. I'm sure he would be able to accomodate them on site in his shop or provide other buyers in their area to look at.

Even if I were to buy one of the mass produced colored fiberglass yaks at $1600 to $2000, but I'm not, I'd still want to see it in person, even if they were to order me another one. Heck, I want to try on a $80 PFD before I'd but it.

Whether a disclaimer is needed, I'm not an attorney and don't play one on TV. But IMHO, I fail to see the intent to defraud or mislead customers, he's only trying to open up their imagination to the endless possibilities. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, he's an honest guy, trying to make an honest living.
