Seeking: Any SOF builders in Tampa Bay, FL.

I live in St. Petersburg, FL and I am planning to start building a skin on frame kayak. I'd love to hear from anyone in the area who has experience of this build method. I have been considering cypress for the frame and am wondering if anyone might recommend a supplier.
