In Response To: Strip: Aligning frames on strong back (Guy)
Definately the DWL
The DWL represents the calculated water line of the boat in the water. The Sheer line curves upward toward the bow and stern following the designed shape of the sheer.
The DWL is the only horizontal line that is level or straight.
One other tip is to use string lines to line the forms up. You could attach a stick to the DWL on the #3 and #14 forms and run a string between them to help eyeball the alignment.
Have fun!!

: I have my forms cut out with all the reference lines on them, my question is,
: which lines do i line up, i know the center line, but do i line up the
: sheer line or DWL horizontally ????
: thanks Guy
