I ADMIRE you guys who can custom bevel all your strips, especially those on the hull where more curvature exists. I used C&B for mine & was quite happy with the tight fit between strips, even after some substantial fairing. You're right in that you need to be careful when cutting the C&Bs to amke sure they all line up. If you set up your routing table right, the C&B process only takes about 30-40 seconds per strip (20' strips). The only problem I had with uncovering gaps was from my own haste in areas where twisting occured (bow/stern). As far as the tapered strips go, the C&B actually made it easier for me to get a good tight fit in these areas. I used thermal roll-paper (for calculator) to trace the tapered ends on the hull & then transfered the pattern to the next strip. THen I just had to hand-round the bead portion if the tapered strip. The strip would then slide into hull & lock in place while glue set.
