The beam is 19.5 inches. The chine width is 16 inches. I've built two
Aleut kayaks, MAE-593-76 and CNM-12212, that had 17.5 inch beams.
Both were a bit tippy, but fast ! Compared to these two, "Sea Rider"
looks like a barge. Ha.
