I'm not sure how I will go about installing commercial hatches (Kajak Sport or VCP) in the Merganser I'm building. The deck isn't very flat, especially near the bow, so there'll have to be some kind of recess, but I don't know how I'll make the recess match the shape of the deck. Also, since the Merganser has no sheer clamp, it might be tricky to attach it.
