: Tom,

: Where do you get the 22oz PVC? The one online store
: that I have found that sells PVC coated Polyester jumps from 18 oz to 40
: or 44 oz with no in between weights. What are the per yard costs from your
: supplier for both the 18 oz and 22 oz?

Another builder told me last week that he had found 22oz at Mauritzon
in Chicago. he says it's about $1.00 more per yard than the 18oz.
I haven't called them to verify. I pay $5.00yd ( 36" X 61")for 18oz.

: Another point of curiosity, does the HDPE really cut down on weight, vs.
: plywood of the same nominal thickness?

No, HDPE is heavier than plywood. Great stuff to work with. It cuts easily
with standard jigsaw blades, and drills just as easily with normal wood bits.

I pay $130.00US for a 4 X 8 sheet ( enough for 2+ boats) at a place here in
Denver. They sometimes have scraps, but I don't know how much it saves over
buying the whole sheet.

: I appreciate your help and you can reply by private email if you like.

Email me anytime.

Thanks,

Tom
