If you can get the search to work (most of the time I can't) there is 2 weeks of posts on skegs in the past. I put a surfboard fin box on mine but the low short and long may be better. Lots of home builts and new manufactured kayaks are puting moveable skegs in. I put mine in at 33" fron stern and it is 3x4 inches.
