: Does graphite lubricant do a good job
: tinting the epoxy black? I've also heard that waste toner from a copier
: works. Has anyone tried it? I'm open to suggestions.
Hi Mike. Yes, either will work. West Epoxy sells graphite in pint cans for about $10. They suggest adding a dash of silica (another $10) to improve toughness. I use that mixture to coat moving parts. It will turn a battleship grey when scuffed so you might consider putting a clear coat over it; I would just skip the silica if you do it that way.
