Brian,
I guess I was thinking of hand-tools, as it would be a mess for power tools. I was not thinking of strip building with it, but rather that it might be useful in some of the folding kayak constructions people work on (skin-on-frame) where there actually is very little cutting to be done. Sometimes just knowing that the material exists is helpful down the line on some oddball project. I just wanted to see if anyone had tried using it, and what they found. In terms of the pine, it is denser than eastern white, and would add weight to the boat.
