After reading the Morris book on SOF building the desire to build is overwhelming. I plan to builf the Greenland version.

I am however confused a/b the type of wood needed. I have easy access to roughcut, nondried cypress. Is this wood appropriate for the construction of the gunwales, ribs, etc...
