Epoxy: Fixing deep scratches

I built a Coho three years ago, and over the past two year it's received a fair number of scratches on the hull - some just into the glass, but there's two or three scratches that are down to the cloth. Most of these deep scratches are relatively short - 2-4 inches - and pretty localized.

I was planning on lightly sanding the hull surfaces (bottom two planks on either side of the centerline) and then going over with another light coat of fiberglass.

But I just planned another kayak trip up into the Thouand Island area on the St. Lawrence for next week - so basically I've just got this weekend to do something with scratches (as well as finishing outfitting the cockpit with braces, etc).

Does anyone have recommendations about fixing the scratches?
- Just leave them alone
- Do a very localized fiberglassing repair, just filling in the scratches and maybe fairing down the surrounding glass coat
- Do the hull this weekend before I go
- Wait until I finish the trip THEN do the hull

What's your vote?

BTW - I not as interested in appearances as I am in sea-worthiness...

TIA
Ed

PS - I can also upload some photos of the hull if it would help...
