mix up an ounce of epoxy resin. Use a small brush and just go over the scratches. A single layer of resin should keep any water from wicking into the glass cloth layer.

Paddle merrily on your trip

Fix all dings on your return.

the initial layer of resin you put on those scratches should be hard enough to sand easily by the time you get back, and it will serve as a foundation for any additional layers of resin you may need.
