To answer first question: I'm building a Guillemot.

I too have been paddling a Chessie (16lt) for the last year. I like it a lot. But the lines on the Guillemot are definately beautiful and I think it will complement the Ch16lt well in performance, ie a bit better in the rougher water that I've been working up to.

Good luck on the decision, you can't go wrong.
