Looks good Jack,
I still haven't used this coaming method, although it's almost time. Vaclav's site does a great job explaining the procedure, but it's always good to hear from others who have done it. I like the clamp spreader idea too... and I like the thought of using cotton prints instead of carbonfiber, as a cheaper alternative. On my Cuervo Fat Boy the whole cockpit recess is made of fiberglass with a piece of cotton in a Southwestern motif. Once the coaming is on it, I'll put the whole thing on in one piece. If this works well, it would be a great side-project to work on during those times you're waiting for something to dry/cure. Just thought I'd throw that out there. We'll see how it goes.
