I'd go with the vinyl coated. It is thicker and probably stornger, and the Mcmaster-carr blurb says it is for outdoor use, while they recommend the laminated materials for indoor use. Materials from other suppliers may be available in different weights and with different characteristics, though. You might want to check with your supplier about the characteristics of the amterial, or get a sample, before you buy.
