No, I have yet to add the riser and lip to this coaming. I will be trying Vaclav's method this weekend or early next week. What I was suggesting was to make the recess itself out of glass (with cotton prints, colored epoxy or carbon fiber) and once the riser and rim are on (per Vaclav), attach it to the deck in one piece. This should work fine and others may have already done this method. It will be heavier than most, but could be built ahead of time. It won't have the beauty of wood strips, but then again, it's going on the Cuervo Fat Boy SOF with drink coasters for a deck and a wild epoxy paint job on the hull. We'll see how it turns out. Are you going to be at R2K3 next month?
