No, I am afraid that there will be no R2K3 for me. Unless things my buddy calls off his wedding. I can always hope

: No, I have yet to add the riser and lip to this coaming. I will be trying
: Vaclav's method this weekend or early next week. What I was suggesting was
: to make the recess itself out of glass (with cotton prints, colored epoxy
: or carbon fiber) and once the riser and rim are on (per Vaclav), attach it
: to the deck in one piece. This should work fine and others may have
: already done this method. It will be heavier than most, but could be built
: ahead of time. It won't have the beauty of wood strips, but then again,
: it's going on the Cuervo Fat Boy SOF with drink coasters for a deck and a
: wild epoxy paint job on the hull. We'll see how it turns out. Are you
