: Bill,

: Just checked your web site again. The coaming looks great! Did you laminate
: that around the coaming riser, or around a separate form?

I did bend around the coaming. This required Beth, a spray bottle, and a heat gun. I did the lam in two parts too. There were a few tense moments with sharp cracks, but they were repairable. If I were to do it again, I would form the coaming riser itself around a form first, to make sure that was true. This one was free hand and has a few "deviations" Have to maintain that hand made look, you know :-)

: The consistency of the waterline detail being echoed on the remainder of the
: boat looks fantastic. I cant wait to see some photos of the finished
: article - you can't be far off now. I also love the padauk and turquoise
: inlay in the bow. And I must congratulate you again on the quality of the
: workmanship in the whole boat, but especially in the consistency and
: symetry of the detailing. It must have taken hours and a lot of patience
: to produce such precision. Beautiful!

It's only time :-) I don't usually obsess quite this much with a boat, but I wanted Beth's to come out nice. We'll have to wait and see on that! The hatches have been giving me (and subsequently, Beth) fits. Tried the Valclav bit with carbon and failed badly. Too many air bubbles. Am redoing things now. So you see, things look great because I can pick and choose what photos to post :-) Self censorship is great, eh? :-)
Thanks again for your comments. Hope to have this thing wet soon!

Bill
