I'm installing cedar-strip bulkheads in my Guillemot. In Nick's book he says "pre-coat the bulkhead with resin before installing it."

I've already glassed one side of the bulkheads -- should this provide adequate strength?

(In my non-engineering way, I imagine the forces would be about the same as those at either end of a bathtub full of sloshing water -- but I don't know how this compares to the structural strength of one-side-glassed cedar-strip bulkheads!!)
