Sorry to hear about your problems.

There was a batch of bad hardener made in October 2002 that affected MSR, West, Raka, and the host of smaller epoxy companies out there (and, of course, I had a quart of the stuff, too). There's a possibility that you have some of this stuff. In most cases it didn't have a severe immediate effect in that most epoxy use is in bulk to industry (but could cause delamination failures in the future). Make up a small test batch to find out. If the test batch doesn't set up, that's your problem. You need new hardner. West will honor your request if you have your evidence, but you have to be firm, they are bad at 'fessing up. If the test batch works, you should check the mix each time, pumps burp or just don't do it well. Could be that which caused the problem, or the layer was so thin that it didn't generate enough heat to cure immediately, but it will set up within days unless you're in cold weather round the clock.
