Dave - I just did my coaming this weekend. Tried something different because I'd experienced the same issue with the plastic wrap on the last boat. This time I used shiney duct tape for the parting surface. It seems to work quite well.

I did on the other hand, get too smart for my britches... I use florist's foam for the basic form, but this time I glued it directly to the epoxied riser / deck rather than laying down a layer of tape first. NOT smart! The hot glue was lots more work to get off than I'd anticipated. Won't be doing that again!
