Hi Rehd

Your browser will keep local copies of pages that you have viewed in a cache. If a page is currently stored in your cache, it 'knows' you have read it so it gets highlighted in the purple colour. If the pagee pointed to by a link does not exist in the cache, it will be displayed in the blue colour. In this way you can see where you hace been 'recently'.

There a few things that determine what 'recently' means because they affect how the pages are stored in and removed from your cache.

1. your cache size - are your running out of space in your cache which forces pages to be thrown away as new pages are loaded?

2. your setting for how the browser should check for new copies of pages - sometimes the timestamps on pages change (if a page is edited for example) which means the server copy will be newer than your local cache copy and the link will change from purple back to blue the next time you go there.

There are some others but I can't think of them right now. Anyway, since it is affecting the view of the bbs, it can't really be the dates on the pages changing (I don't think) since the messages shouldn't really get updated.

check the size of your local cache. What browser are you using?

In internet explorer go to Tools -> Internet Options and on the General tab there is a section for 'temporary internet files', click settings in that section and you can see how much space you have allocated for your cache.
