For what its worth - if the BBS doesn't actually change the cookie every
time you use it, you can copy the cookie from one machine to the other (as
long as they use the same browser - translating cookies is getting a bit
hard ): Then the BBS will think they are the same user and reflect messages
you already saw on one screen in the "NEW" tags on the other. Alternatively,
if the BBS stores the time of your last visit in the cookie, you'd need to
take it with you every time you changed machine - a bit tedious.

Where cookies live depends on your browser - mine (for Konqueror) live at
~/.kde/share/apps/kcookiejar/cookies which is a nice plain text file, so
taking cookies with me to another machine is dead easy. Windows users might
find it a little harder ... MS doesn't like you to delve into how things
work as it has a very poor opinion of "users" :-(
