: Try Nigel Foster's Silouette. It handles like the AA
It's interesting that you should say that, as I have both boats and find that they are as different as night and day. The Silhouette has much lower initial stability and the secondary is no more than than the AA, probably less. I find the AA relaxing to paddle, but the Silhouette forces me to stay on my toes in rough conditions. It occasionally catches me offguard, especially in following seas. The Silhouette tracks strongly, whereas the AA is very maneuverable. Both boats weathercock a bit, but not uncontrollably.

Definitely. The AA is a relatively slow boat, but cruises nicely at a comfortable touring pace (3-4 knots).

That's one reason why the Silhouette is my camping boat and the AA is a day boat.
