Hi All,

I made the lip for my stern hatch yesterday and it came out ok. I followed Nick's book and just laid up the glass on the deck/hatch without adding anything to lower the lip. However, tonight I took a small piece of my gasket material(1/8 by 3/8 neo weatherstrip) and put it under the hatch.

Major flaw: the hatch sits way too proud of the deck even with me pressing on the hatch.

I can only think of thinning the hatch edge a bit or making a groove to make some extra space, or I could grind it off and try again.

Anyone have other ideas as to alternatives or corrections I can try.
