:When I varnished my boat I used a flip over method. I have holes drilled through the end poors in both ends. I inserted a 12" steel rod through each end, attached ropes to each end of the rods and hung the boat from the garage rafters. When I finished a coat on the deck I just fliped the boat by the combing and varnished the hull, then let it dry overnight and repeat the process. I like the pully idea though and might try that next time.

This might sound like a dumb question but can you varnish something up side
: down?
