Yeah, I think so too. And, my initial plan was to make a boat that would a little bit of a size compromise between the older two kids. But that has now changed. In my search for gunwale wood, I found a really nice 2x6 from which yielded two sets of gunwales. Looks like I'm makin' two boats now instead of just the one, and will make them to fit the each of the kids a little closer (and Andrew's will now be ~16"). Tonight I'm making my jigs for router cutting of the deck beam mortices.
