Hi Pete,

Gorilla glue is a great glue, but don't use it unless you are masochistic! I am a semi-professional woodworker(meaning I make money at it but not even to make a living), and an addicted strip builder. Gorilla glue is strong, gap filling and almost completely waterproof. However, it is a mess to clean up and takes strong solvents to get off your skin. Once it sets up on your skin it is only coming off with a brush and some of your skin. I sometimes use it in strategic places but not as a general overall glue for that reason. I also noticed on my current kayak that it tended to foam and penetrate so deep into redwood that I cannot sand it out entirely and it shows up under epoxy. But it is a good glue for attaching strip ends to the stems. Hope this helps.
