For what it’s worth, I glassed the riser then sanded and used wood glue to laminate the strips. The whole thing is glassed over now and the boat is nearing completion...so I can’t really say if there will be problems arise from doing it this way. I can't see anything wrong with it yet, but use and abuse will really tell the tale. Epoxy is probably better, but perhaps glue is good enough…if you don’t mind gambling a bit.
