Hey guys,
Which Island do you guys live on?
My brother is going to take a year-long "sabbatical", and has a work visa in NZ. His plan is now to work in the boatbuilding industry, and possibly build river dories.
Anyway, my wife and I are planning to visit him in late January or early February of next year, and I'd love to meet up with one or both of you while I'm in country.
Best regards,
Shawn
: Good to see you building again I have been recommended Selleys Aquadhere
: Tradesman as well from a few builders here in NZ. As David pointed out
: above look for the words polyaliphatic, there are a couple of other makes
: at Placemakers as well. Tested it out last weekend, it set fairly fast and
: was sandable a few hours later. Gorilla glue would be good but as you said
: it foams alot and I am suspect of the join unless it has been clamped well
: and there is no gap.
: I should be starting my 1st stipper in the next couple of months - Race ya
: What woods are you using. At $35 a metre for 300mm x 25mm I would like to
: keep away from Cedar if possible and will be using Paulonwia as a light
: colour.
: Cheers
