Hi Rick. I would bend it around and clamp it without any glue and then let it cool down/dry until the following day. Then I would come back and epoxy it in a separate step. Pot life shouldn't really be an issue in that situation. I've had batches kick when I was glassing a large area and the epoxy starts to heat up in the cup but I haven't really seen that on one of these operations.
