Buy the Greenlander and build a skin boat too. When I built my SOF, I took some measurements of a Betsey Bay. I didn't want to duplicte it, I just wanted no horrible negative surprises as far as stability.

You wont have dry hatches or hatches at all. You wont have the space or ease of entering and exiting because you'll have ribs and they eat up about and inch and a half of space. You'll have a Masik that will eat up about 3 inches of thigh room and you will have a skin that will never stay as tight as you would like detering your speed. You will need to be very experienced to get the ribs bent to really copy all the lines of the Greenlander. And you won't be able to copy the bow and stern entree with skin like they did with fiberglass. But ,you CAN build a nice paddling and fun SOF recreation that will make you very happy.
